By the end of this course, you will be able to design and deliver a structured, multi-session nature-based recovery program for working adults with burnout, in workplace and occupational health settings.
Outcomes
What you'll gain
- Design a complete, multi-session nature-based recovery program for working adults with burnout, using a structured framework for nature-based intervention design.
- Sequence each program from psychological detachment and relaxation toward control and small mastery, applying the Recovery Experiences Model and the Effort-Recovery and Conservation of Resources logic of burnout.
- Adapt the program across populations, environments (full nature, urban green, indoor), and group sizes using the FTHub Adaptation Framework, with absolute limits that hold across every adaptation.
- Communicate the evidence base and your professional scope to clients, referrers, and commissioners using the Evidence Summary Card and the Client Communication Template.
- Identify the burnout to depression boundary in your practice and act on it through a documented referral route, applying the allostatic-capacity view of recovery (McEwen, 1998; Karatsoreos & McEwen, 2011) to read variability as information rather than relapse.
Audience
Who is this course for?
-
Corporate well-being practitioners: add a structured, evidence-anchored burnout recovery program to your offer, sized and sequenced for the staff groups and return-to-work cohorts you already support.
-
Coaches: extend your one-to-one and small-group work with depleted clients through a multi-session intervention that protects detachment before adding agency and small mastery.
-
Occupational health professionals: integrate a defensible, multi-session nature-based program into phased return pathways, with a clear professional scope and a named referral threshold for the burnout to depression boundary.
-
Recommended prerequisite: Course 2-2 Nature-Based Stress Recovery, or equivalent grounding in nature-based facilitation.
