Total hours of training: 156 hours = 40 hours of online classes with a trainer + 20 hours of self-guided activities + 96 hours of Mentored Practice (4-6 h/week).
If you wish, you can complete your training at no additional cost with 2 days of immersion in one of the Blended Training (in-person + live online).
This is not a mandatory requirement to obtain the certification.
If some sessions don’t suit you, don’t worry, we request attendance at 8 of the 24-week sessions.

2. Mentored Practice: a mentor will accompany and help you with personalised attention as you guide Forest Bathing walks so that you deepen your knowledge of the content and develop your skills as a professional (4-6 h/week). Dates for other sessions and planned support will be specified with the mentor.
END OF THE TRAINING
The training is planned to end on 17 October 2022, after which you can have 4 additional weeks to finish your practice (24+4 weeks). After the Immersion, Training sessions and Mentored Practice, having completed all evaluations, you will receive your certification.
It is a certification requirement to have completed a “First Aid Training” or “Wilderness First Aid Training” and a “Mental Health First Aid Training”, as part of your Mentored Practice. This is not included in the training fee.
The general objective of the double degree of Certified Forest Therapy Practitioner and Certified Forest Bathing Guide is to train professionals specialised in understanding the multiple interrelationships between people, the natural and social environment. Likewise, they must exhibit skills, abilities and competence applying the FTHub Method to design and conduct experiences of well-being and comprehensive health therapeutics such as preventive medicine, treatment and rehabilitation in different settings, various personal and social contexts throughout the life cycle, knowing and respecting the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of the Forest Therapy Hub.
Know why, how to be and how to do
A pedagogical model in which the students conduct preparatory work to integrate, understand and apply the knowledge. Then, together with the trainers, they analyse, evaluate, create, and adapt methods according to each student's soft skills.
The goal is that the student, based on knowledge, adapts the methods to their unique skills, integrating them as competencies.
With this goal various methodologies are applied:

- Develop soft skills through individual nature connection practices.
- Cooperate to transmit knowledge in discussion groups of 4-6 people.

- Knowledge about ecosystems and diversity, and their impact on well-being.
- From theory and science to practice (I): how to apply the theoretical foundations to the design of nature-based activities.
- From theory and science to practice (II): how to apply the theoretical foundations to the design of your Forest Therapy intervention.
- Expressive arts (I): practical application in Forest Bathing.
- Expressive arts (II): practical application in Forest Therapy interventions.
- Path selection criteria (I) in diverse natural environments, such as maritime and riverine, forests, deserts and urban parks.

- 6-, 8- and 12-week FTHub Intervention Model.
