Argentina

La Cumbrecita is a small town located in the Calamuchita Valley in the Sierras Grandes of the province of Córdoba (Argentina). It is a nature reserve. At an altitude of 4,757 ft (1,450 m) above sea level, its landscapes of mountains, streams and waterfalls of clear water are surrounded by mixed pine forests. Its Central European-style houses are a picturesque attraction along the paths that run through the forest. It is the only pedestrian town in Argentina, called the “town of tales” (pueblo de cuentos) for its pure natural beauty, visited all year round by national and international tourists.

Schedule: unless otherwise specified, all immersions start on Friday at 10:00 (10 am) and end on Sunday at 13:00 (1 pm). If you have to arrive a little later or leave a little earlier, we understand, just let us know.

Travel, accommodation, meals or other expenses are not included in the cost.

FTHub chooses to stay at Hostel Planeta Cumbrecita, a former Central European-style chalet located in the heart of the village, equipped with spacious shared or private rooms and fully equipped kitchens.

The centre of La Cumbrecita with shops, bars and restaurants is less than 300 metres from the accommodation.

The Hostel has breakfast service included and an especially warm and dedicated service. Linen, Wi-Fi, barbecue, and lots of nature. The rooms have full private bathrooms.

Contact and reservations: +54 9 3546 41-9581. Let them know you are attending the FTHub training to find out about discounts and payment methods.

You can also choose any other accommodation of your choice WITHIN the town of La Cumbrecita and close to the Hostel. You can choose a place that is located inside the village, i.e. after the access to the pedestrian bridge to La Cumbrecita, and not the accommodation around the entrance to the village, as the distances and meeting times with the group will take you more time.

Central European cuisine is typical of La Cumbrecita, with menus that include regional delicacies, also suitable for vegans and coeliacs.

La Cumbrecita is 73 miles (118 km) from the City of Córdoba, 428 miles (689 km) from Tucumán and 490 miles (788 km) from Buenos Aires.

You can get to the City of Cordoba by plane or by bus.

To get to La Cumbrecita by public transport you leave from the Córdoba Bus Terminal. The trip from Córdoba to La Cumbrecita is an excursion in itself, as you progressively go deeper into the heart of the mountains through beautiful routes with spectacular views of green landscapes, lakes, dams and charming villages. It has two sections:

∙ From the city of Córdoba, at the Bus Terminal, you take the BUSES LEP bus (ticket at Boleteria 132) to Villa General Belgrano (1,5 h trip with services from 7 am every hour approximately). Contact Buses Lep (WhatsApp +549351466600 or phone 0351-5696600).

∙ When you arrive at the Villa General Belgrano Bus Terminal, take the bus Pájaro Blanco (ticket at the Pájaro Blanco bus ticket office) to La Cumbrecita (timetables to La Cumbrecita at 7 am, 10 am and 12 pm; and from La Cumbrecita, at 8 am, 12 pm, 1:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 7 pm). For this part of the trip, please bring cash. Contact Pájaro Blanco: La Cumbrecita WhatsApp +5493546404565, Villa General Belgrano tel. 03546 461709.

Group option: Taxi from Villa General Belgrano to La Cumbrecita (duration 30 minutes). Payment in cash.

It is not necessary to book bus seats in advance.

Once in La Cumbrecita, you do not need transport. All journeys are on foot.

We meet from 9 am to 10 am at the pedestrian bridge at the entrance to La Cumbrecita, about 20 metres from where the bus arrives.
