By the end of this course, you will be able to translate nature and health research findings into clear, evidence-grounded communications for the program directors, HR executives, clinical leads, and institutional funders who make decisions about nature-based programs.
Outcomes
What you'll gain
- Select and translate the three to five research findings most relevant to a specific institutional decision-maker, assigning each finding the scope language that accurately reflects its evidence level.
- Identify the cognitive and institutional filters that determine how a program director, HR executive, or clinical lead evaluates a new program proposal, and structure your communication to pass through each one.
- Produce a complete evidence brief for your specific decision-maker, including a headline finding, three translated evidence claims, a direct connection to the organization's outcome indicators, a specific program proposal, and risk considerations.
- Adapt your evidence communication across clinical, corporate, educational, and funding contexts using the Adaptation Framework.
- Use the four Professional Tools Package documents as working tools in live institutional meetings and presentations, without returning to the course materials.
Audience
Who is this course for?
-
Forest Therapy Practitioners and Forest Bathing Guides: Present the evidence base for your practice to healthcare administrators, public health agencies, and local government officials, and build funded partnerships with institutions using a structured, repeatable communication framework.
-
Nature-based health practitioners: Add a structured evidence brief and communication toolkit to your social prescribing or community health practice, enabling productive conversations with physicians, clinical leads, and public health directors.
-
Corporate well-being and outdoor wellness practitioners: Present the business case for nature-based well-being programs to HR directors, occupational health leads, and company decision-makers using translated research and sector-appropriate evidence formats.
-
Prerequisite: If you are already working directly with clients, participants, or groups in a nature-based or outdoor health context, no prior experience with science communication or institutional engagement is required.
