Where

Gauja National Park is the largest and oldest of the national parks in Latvia, characterised by great biological diversity, a variety of landforms, natural springs, sandstone outcrops, picturesque views and unique natural, cultural and historical monuments.

Magnificent sandstone outcrops, rocks, cliffs and caves are among the park’s major attractions. The reddish, yellow and greyish sandstones were formed 350-370 million years ago.

Unless otherwise specified, all immersions start on Friday at 10:00 (10 am) and end on Sunday at 13:00 (1 pm). If you have to arrive a little later or leave a little earlier, we understand, just let us know. Travel, accommodation, meals or other expenses are not included in the cost.

Accommodation

Camping Ozolkalns (oak hill) is located next to the river Gauja, inside the Gauja National Park, a national protected territory.

The camping is 3 kilometres away from Cēsis, a village of mediaeval magic with old houses, an 8th-century castle and parks with black swans. In the nearby town Sigulda there are nice views of nature, hiking trails, mediaeval buildings and other cultural sights.

In Camping Ozolkalns, accommodation costs EUR 40 per person/day in a shared room, with private bathroom, in a small cottage.

For reservations, contact dreimane.inga@gmail.com.

Meals

EUR 20 per person/day.
