Tanya is a mental health practitioner, experiential educator and passionate adventure and nature-based therapist. With prior professional experience ranging from rehabilitation for alcohol and drug abuse to corporate facilitation programmes on experiential learning, she participated in forums including the International Adventure Therapy Conference (USA, 2015, Sydney, 2018 and Norway, 2022), Parliament of World Religions (Australia, 2009) and Global Dialog (Berlin, 2009).
She is currently the representative of India at the International Adventure Therapy Committee. At Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation, she managed the daily operations of an organisation with a footprint of over 5,000 individuals with and without disabilities.
In 2021, she initiated the โAdventure and Nature Based Therapy โ Indiaโ Study Group. Her therapeutic approach is informed by Narrative Practices, Somatic Therapies, Experiential Education and Applied Buddhist Psychology.
