Joanna is a nature-based practitioner and initiator of projects that support wellbeing, relationships and personal development through connection with nature. She is passionate about creating spaces that foster mindfulness, regeneration and meaningful connection — both with the natural world and between people.

She is an experienced Project Manager with nearly 20 years of experience in project coordination and grant acquisition, particularly EU and international funding, working across public administration, business and non-governmental organisations. She coordinated projects supporting refugees in cooperation with international partners, including Youth Business International (YBI) and EBRD. She also co-founded the non-governmental organisation Foundation Pozytyw, focused on supporting people at risk of social exclusion.
In her work, she integrates psychosocial support, personal development and professional activation, with strong attention to participant experience, clear communication and collaboration with partners and trainers from different countries.

As the founder of Leśne Bycie Matsu, she organises workshops, guided nature walks and ecological actions for adults, families and children. She has been involved in river clean-up initiatives within Clean River, participated in forest planting activities as part of the “Forest Forever” (Las na Zawsze) initiative, and co-created events in collaboration with local communities. Her work focuses on building a relationship with nature in a safe, mindful and educational way.

She is inspired by deep ecology, the idea of the community of all beings, the work of Arne Naess and Joanna Macy, as well as developments in psychology and neuropsychology. She is committed to continuous learning and professional development. In her practice, she emphasises empathy, deep listening, clear communication and nature-based experiences as an important resource for mental health and social integration. Her goal is to create open and welcoming spaces where people can rediscover their inner resources, resilience and developmental potential.
