I'm Nature

Strategic collaboration agreement between meHRs and Forest Therapy Hub

We welcome this strategic collaboration agreement between meHRs and Forest Therapy Hub to develop lines of research and intervention related to the benefits of natural environments on the mental health and emotional well-being of the working population.

Valuing, promoting and protecting people’s mental health within the work environment is a key objective for organizations in the coming years.

According to figures published by the WHO, 1 in 8 people in the world suffers from some mental disorder, with anxiety disorders and depressive disorders being the most common, with triggers such as stress (work > individual) or hyperactivation of the nervous system that are difficult to manage.

Research highlights the benefits of natural environments (sounds, visual stimuli, olfactory stimuli, tactile stimuli…) for a better management and reduction of symptoms related to anxiety and depression. Reconnecting with nature provides important effects on the central nervous system by reducing the external hyperactivation to which we are exposed in urban environments.

Forest Therapy Hub leads the interdisciplinary field of nature-based health and well-being practices and scientific knowledge, promoting an interaction between people and nature that supports the restoration of their health and well-being.

The strategic collaboration will bring organizations closer to natural environments to help improve the mental health and emotional well-being of their employees.
