Contributing to the Well-being of the Territory: FTHub Forest Therapy Practitioner Summer School in collaboration with the Natural Spaces and Green Infrastructure Area of the Diputació de Barcelona

The FTHub Forest Therapy Practitioner Summer School is an academic and human experience of international level that Forest Therapy Hub, in collaboration with the Area of Natural Spaces and Green Infrastructure of the Diputació de Barcelona, will develop from July 7 to 14 in Barcelona, Spain.

A distinguished group of international academics and experts will be present to give lessons of the training program, from each of the fields in which their contribution to Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy stands out: Won Sop Shin, former Minister of Forestry and Professor Chungbuk University (South Korea), Guangyu Wang from UBC and the MINT Institute (Canada); Dr. Nevin J Harper, Professor, Adventure Therapist, Researcher (Canada); Xavier Roget, from the Red de Parques de la Diputació de Barcelona (Spain), Jill Litt from ISGlobal and the University of Colorado (USA) and Antoni Sanz, PhD in Psychology, Professor and Researcher at UAB (Spain).

With the collaboration of the Diputació de Barcelona, the training has academic spaces immersed in nature that offer a unique connection with learning and the environment, fostering collaboration, creativity and well-being of the participants, thus contributing to this comprehensive and enriching training experience.

Thanks to the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council’s Parks Network, we have the opportunity to convert two of the majestic 14 natural parks that make up this network into training campuses, such as the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve and the Serra de Collserola Natural Park, in addition to the Barcelona Provincial Council’s own facilities in the center of the city. The training will have additional Campuses specially selected for a unique occasion.

There are 8 days of theoretical-practical classes, forest bathing and interventions in nature, and additional access to the online learning platform of the FTHub Forest Therapy Practitioner training.

It is a celebration of the responsible management of natural parks, which not only offer an inspiring environment, but also promote the health of people and the planet from the roots, through green health education.
