Dr. Guangyu Wang

Dr Guangyu Wang is an Associate Dean and Professor in the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia, Director of the Multidisciplinary Institute of Natural Therapy (MINT) at UBC and the Director of the National Park Research Centre with a wealth of expertise in national park management, recreation, and ecotourism development. He holds the esteemed position of Director of the Asia Pacific Forestry Education Coordination Mechanism, where he actively contributes to advancing forestry education and collaboration in the region. He has made significant contributions to the field in the United States, Canada, and China, leading ground-breaking research initiatives and project management.
Dr. Wang and his MINT team focus on investigating the efficacy of forest soundscape, lightscape, and viewscape in enhancing human health and overall well-being. Dr. Wang has authored numerous books, chapters, technical reports, and scientific papers, including approximately 100 peer-reviewed international journals. He serves as an Associate Editor for esteemed journals like Journals of Forestry Research, Frontier of Ecology and Evolution, and Forests, among others.
