Forest Therapy Hub Selected for Professional Development Training by Taiwan Forest Therapy Society, Integrating the FTHub Method

Forest Therapy Hub and Taiwan Forest Therapy Society have entered into a landmark agreement, whereby professional Forest Therapy Guides in Taiwan will have access to FTHub training and networks. This partnership will incorporate the FTHub Method, FTHub sequences and Liquid Interactions Model, to design and implement Forest Therapy Interventions within Taiwan’s diverse landscapes.

Taiwan has incorporated Forest Therapy as part of a comprehensive program where Certified Guides offer nature-based wellness practices and Forest Bathing at Forest Therapy stations to the population. The Taiwan Forest Therapy Society (TFTS) will introduce FTHub’s international training program to train local forest therapy professionals, enhancing the skills and knowledge of the new practitioners in Taiwan.

Under this agreement, FTHub will provide the training, celebrating two-way knowledge sharing. This exchange enriches the growth and professionalization of forest therapy, supporting its internationalization while adapting to local contexts.

Taiwan’s extraordinary plan on forest therapy includes a well-structured system that integrates forest therapy into public health initiatives. The government has established several certified Forest Therapy bases across the country, providing accessible nature-based interventions for stress relief and mental health improvement. These stations are strategically located in ecologically rich areas, offering guided forest bathing sessions and therapeutic activities designed to promote physical and psychological well-being.

The collaboration between FTHub and TFTS signifies a significant step towards enhancing the quality and reach of forest therapy practices in Taiwan. By combining FTHub’s science proven methodologies with Taiwan’s unique natural environments and existing infrastructure, this partnership aims to incorporate the FTHub standard in forest therapy, benefiting both local practitioners and the broader community.
